146 Million

The results of the election are indeed horrible, but by no means devastating. 146 million did NOT vote for W. His margin of 3 million votes is one of the smallest for an incumbent. There have been times in the past when Democrats have stood up for their moral values (desegregation) and paid the political price for it (lost the South). The GOP victory was based on fear and intolerance and that is a shaky foundation on which to govern. Their continued success will require that people give up the fight and turn away from the prcess. We can't let it happen.
